I am not quite ready to say goodbye to the holiday break yet.
I went back to work yesterday,
but still can't seem to get my mind back into the 'to do list' mentality.
These photos were taken over the weekend at Ventura Harbor beach.
The jetty is a great spot to take the dogs,
because it doesn't have any waves.
It was Charlie's first time at the beach,
and his first time swimming.
He was a little unsure at first and wouldn't really follow Stephen all the way in,
but once Stephen picked me up and carried me into the water,
Charlie was all,
MUST SAVE MOMMY.
LA has a severe lack of dog beaches,
(get it together Malibu)
and it is something I really miss about Orange County.
I did some research though,
and there are a couple of spots in Ventura and Oxnard
where people go and let their dogs run free.
We went during the week in the middle of the day,
so it was really quiet,
which was perfect.
After our run around the beach we drove across the street
and had lunch at the 805 Bar and Grilled Cheese.
That is its full name.
It was perfect,
and any place that gives me a warm cozy blanket while I eat gets an A+ in my book.
It's 2014 guys.
That is crazy.
I tend to make one big resolution,
and some smaller ones like:
eat healthy, exercise, be nice to people.
You know, the usual.
My big one is to be more positive.
Look at life through a different lens;
A more rose colored one, if you will.
I have always admired people who just go through life full of joy,
and let stuff roll off their back.
While I have a lot of fun and joy,
I am more of a "realist"
which can sometimes be another term for pessimist.
I don't want to look back on my life and wish I had enjoyed it more,
instead of stressing about the small stuff.
We will see how well that goes during the more hormonal moments of life,
or when I am hungry.
