2. Immigration finally took the money from my account, which means we are in the beginning processing stages of Stephen's Visa. We have like 5 more stages to go. They don't mess around and the constant pit in my stomach from visa stress is back and taking up residence.
3. We are on the FINAL season of Prison Break. Not going to lie, Michael-just-above-a-whisper-Scoffield is getting on my last nerve with his acting skills and I am excited for this journey to end so I can stop dreaming of breaking out prisons, making deals, and running from the company. seriously.
4. We are planning on our second trip back to Italy in May with my bff Ahnika and her husband Grant. They have decided to use the tickets they had bought for our original wedding, to go to Italy instead. Wise move guys...wise move. I am super pumped to go back and bask under the tuscan sun again with my love.
5. Stephen and I have been eating our way through Glasgow. I have a post that will go up about our favorite places.
6. Liz is in South Africa for two weeks (hate her) so the rest of the wedding photos will have to wait until she gets back from her glorious trip...even though I, personally think, editing our wedding photos sounds like a lot more fun than traveling through South Africa with the love of your life and getting to wear a bathing suit. But that is just me.
7. I am dreaming of summers in LA and looking at new bathing suits to purchase for the days of laying out by the pool and on the beach. I saw this one on Liz's instagram and want it, and I want this one, and i'll take this one too.

ReplyDeletei think that anyone should be able to go to any country anytime they want as long as they aren't harming anyone. like, how is that so hard? stupid bureaucrats!

ReplyDeleteok, the series finale of Prison Break is worth it:-) I definitely had a love-hate relationship with that show, (but mainly only "love" because that was totally one of me and Daniel's make-out session tv shows back in college. hehe. Hope I haven't ruined it even more for you!:-) xoxo

DeleteI did not ever realize you were from LA! The weather is fabulous right now, even if just a tad gloomy right now. And so random, but my pastor is from Northern Ireland. I love the accent.
ReplyDeleteThey sure love taking that money out of the account! I think that's one thing they can always be counted on doing quickly.. snatching that money!
ReplyDeleteWishing a just as quick remaining 4 steps. :)

ReplyDeletewe are trying. although we would enjoy it a lot more if winter would end.
DeleteUm.... can I have your life? I wanted to go to the UK for grad school, but the program I wanted wouldn't take foreign students. Le sigh. I just found your blog today, and I am enamored! Your wedding photos are incredible, and they pretty much represent my dream wedding (and maybe dress, too?). I can't wait to keep following you via Bloglovin and maybe learning a thing or two about some of my favorite places! I've only visited, after all.

ReplyDeletethanks girl!
DeleteBeautiful picture! Hope you have a great time in Italy, sounds amazing!
ReplyDeletethank you! :)
DeleteWow I'm so happy to have found your blog! I'm an American student in my first year of my undergrad in the UK and can relate so much to everything you've said about visas (just read through your faqs as well). I'm excited to look through your blog a bit more and see what else you've had to say about being a student abroad. Good luck with Stephen's visa, I've heard getting visa's for the US is much harder than for anywhere else. But it sounds like you're making progress! I still remember screaming and jumping up and down for a good five minutes when I finally got the email that my student visa had been approved, so I know it must be really exciting for you guys to be moving forward with the process.

hey girl! so glad you found me! where are you studying?? Congrats! it was such a great experience!! i really loved my time as a student.
DeleteI'm at Goldsmiths University, in the Southeast of London. I'm having a great time so far and just so excited about all the exploring I still get to do. It's always fun to find people who are or have been in the same situation, and it's especially great seeing that you've been through it and loved it!
Deletei cannot get over how adorable your wedding pics are! good luck with the visa process, trying to get my UK one was awful so i can sympathize!
ReplyDeleteughhh i want those first two suits.
ReplyDeletei like how you linked to my insta account. i will be ignoring any/all random requests. mega B.
ReplyDeletethat picture is amazing! :) i am jealous you are going to italy! it will be so fun! and those bathing suits are awesome!
ReplyDeleteYou should be in SA too - you would love it!! x
ReplyDeleteHave fun in Italy!
ReplyDeleteYou're kind of rude about Glasgow a lot and I don't understand why. Our weather isn't THAT different form the majority of the UK, bar the south and many people find themselves here for the 'weird' reason that they want to. Your blog is very pretty but the subtle bashing of my hometown puts me off somewhat.
ReplyDeleteLorna, You are right. I do subtly, or not so subtly bash glasgow. And I appologize for that. I really should not do it, as I would be sad if someone bashed my hometown, which happens often since I am from a large and somewhat controversial city (LA, "lala land") and i think it is something ive learned to shrug off since I know where i am from isnt for everyone.
DeleteIn all honestly, it isnt the city that has left a bad taste in my mouth, it is the circumstances that have happened while i have been here...very sad, and horrible circumstances for stephen and i, and i think i put my feelings about those circumstances, and project them onto the city itself, and that is wrong of me. I need an attitude change, and I know i'll come to regret my negative outlook on this city when I have left it, as it is the place where S and i had our first home together, where we got engaged, married, and i have some wonderful friends that call this city home.
I am going to change the wording in this post, and i hope you can accept my appology.
