Definitely wore this dress for both Christmas Eve and New Years Eve,
along with pajamas.
duh.
We got back to Scotland last night,
after traveling 20 hours,
over the course of two days because of the time difference...
I have no idea what is happening.
I am all out of sorts,
I cant remember what day it is,
what time it is,
where I am
(although walking up those seven flights of stairs with over 200lbs of luggage was a good indicator that we were back in Scotland)
Traveling was so rough.
I was already crying because I was leaving home,
but then add some serious turbulence to the mix...
I was a full on ugly crying hot mess...
enough that the stewardess had to come lean down next to me to calm me.
I was that person yesterday.
Then we got into our flat,
went to bed at 11pm...
and woke up today at 4:30pm.
We are not off to the best start.
Bare with me.

ReplyDeleteglad you made it back safely! you look amazing. and those shoes are incredible. on the plus side (for you, not me), so cal has been really cold. i woke up to 29 degree weather this morning. in a house with no heat. so be thankful that were you live, you are prepared for the cold.
ReplyDeleteBlogger hugs and glad you made it back safely. Now go make out with your hot fiance and sleep off that jet lag. Or are you supposed to stay awake? I can't remember how that works.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear about your rough start of the year. Turbulence is a real bitch.
ReplyDeleteBut pff, you've got THE legs.. and you can't have it all! It's only fair ;) X

DeleteI love that dress! We hit some SERIOUS turbulence on the way home from our NYE too. I didn't quite cry, but some may have confused the sweat rolling down my face as tears. Ah, traveling.

As in the wise words of Dr Seuss...don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened. Or if that doesn't work...then have a massive glass of wine and eat lots and lots of sweets, and find more puppies to roll around with (in fact, I have a beagle pup so I'd happily send her over for cuddles...anytime)
ReplyDeleteI love me some inspirational Dr. Seuss. Thanks girl :)
DeleteThat dress looks AMAZEBALLS!!! So elegantly chic!
ReplyDeleteHope you recover from the jet lag and homesickness soon! x
Glad you made it back safely, I hate turbulence and got the worst my last flight. I'm a little scared to fly now. Love the dress by the way.
ReplyDeleteAwwwww! I felt the same way going back to Seoul in the dead of winter from a 2 week trip to Thailand where it was warm and calm. I cried the whole way to the airport. What helped was remembering what positive things were waiting for me back in Seoul...like my friends, teaching yoga, my favorite place to get spicy soup...maybe you have a silly favorite coffee shop to call a 2nd home? It's also Ok to acknowledge you feel a little shitty though, THEN pick yourself up with the positive! Love ya Megan and here for you--I get it!xx
ReplyDeleteoh i hate turbulence. thank god the flight to london from cyprus is around 4 hours and jet lag doesnt eexist (although it would be a nice excuse for getting off work). gorgeous dress
ReplyDeleteoh man i love that dress and the earrings. Lovely & beautiful as always. ♥CheChe
ReplyDeleteWow- totally identifying with how you're feeling. I just arrived back in London (from Vancouver), and similarly, one hot mess! I jumped off the plane into a busy Gatwick airport, only to have myself and my luggage pushed around by the masses that could care less about me, and to miss two trains because attempting to find a 'lift' to get my luggage to the platform, was close to impossible. Welcome back to London!!
ReplyDeleteOh, and I also woken up at 2pm, and 1:09pm yesterday and today. Life has been less than productive!
You're not alone. xo
So gorgeous as always! xo
ReplyDeleteGoodness gracious those shoes (and the dress too!) are pretty!
