Style and Weather

shirt: c/o Joules | Blazer: Zara (old, similar) | Jeans: TopShop (old, similar) | earrings/bracelet c/o poshlocket | Watch Asos (old, similar) | sunglasses: H&M

I saw this UK company, Joules, on Lauren's blog awhile back.
She compared the style of clothes to the likes of Kate Middleton,
so naturally I was sold.
It has that posh London vibe about it,
and I am all about faking poshness,
hence this button down, collard shirt with little equestrian men on it.
(I am obsessing over all of their womens shirts right now)

Check out those autumn leaves,
for the first time I cannot complain about the weather...
although cold,
it is no hurricane.

Where do you all live and how is the weather where you are at?
How are all my easter coasters??
(well...those who have power still and can answer)
Are you and your families doing okay?

Don't answer CALIFORNIA,
we all know it's a beautiful perfect sunny warm day.
jerks.

(I can say that because I'm from there...right of passage and all that)

  5. Its a beautiful spring day in wonderful Pretoria South Africa although the skies are starting to grey so I suspect a thunderstorm will be making its way to us later tonight....

You look stunning by the way...one day when I grow up I want your waistline!!

  6. i'm all about faking poshness too girl. sometimes my friends and i even fake an english accent... too far? maybe so. but love your outfit! hurricane sandy swept through NC with lots of rain and a few gusts but nothing to write about. grateful for that.

  7. Lovely outfit, and thanks for asking how us East Coaster are faring. I live in college apartments, so I was only out of power for 45 minutes until the generator kicked in. To be safe still, I pulled out my candles and lighters, filled my tub w water so I could flush the toilet in case of an outage, put my extra mattress in the hallway (away from windows and doors), and closed and locked all windows). Be well.

  9. I live in D.C....the weather was pretty nuts last night, lost power, etc. But woke up and it's much more pleasant! And I LOVE Joules! I used to live in Cambridge (England, not Mass, everybody confuses the two here), and I have some wellies and an overnight bag from there that I use all the time and get compliments on. Good taste!

  15. As much as you talk about layering, I really, really need to find a good way to do it. My boobs are too big to do it properly; I end up looking big and square because I can't find pieces to taper to my body. Woe is me with the big boobs, right?

Weather-wise, I just returned from my first visit to California, where it was cloudless and sunny and perfect. Oh. my. gosh. I could totally live where the weather stays like that. Back in the South, it's turned cold (55 -- is that even "cold"?), so I'm finally getting to break out my fall clothes. I guess the grass is always greener on the other side.

  17. I live in NH and luckily we have power. Plus, our house didn't suffer any damage from this storm (unlike when Irene came through) so I am really thankful for that! Loving the fall leaves in your pictures!

  29. That shirt is so amazing! It's finally turned winter in East TN--by that I mean below 50, which is miserably cold. I don't know how you handle winter starting in October. Bless you and all those in the path of Sandy!

  33. First, you are so stunning! Second, the next time you come state side can you come to CT so we can be friends in IRL? =) {kidding, sort of} And third, my part of CT faired well - just wind and rain. Our beach house in RI is ok too, although the beach club building is falling into the sea....
