I am sort of a wedding planning machine..
Booked a venue,
finalized the menue (still need to do a tasting to really finalize)
booked a band,
Photography,
chair hire,
string quartet,
string quartet,
almost done with the final drafts of the save the dates, invites, and wedding website (thanks to my amazing friends).
It's like I've done this before or something....
Oh and I found a dress that I LOVE.
But it is over my budget..
Not surprised.
I am determined to find a way to make this dress mine.
I'm not above stealing...
I'm not above stealing...
Our next big item is to find a florist who I trust to be able to do what I'm envisioning.
It is definitely becoming more real,
and I am getting even more excited.
But by far the best part of this is the man I get to marry,
and making this day about us.

I promise to share the date soon!

ReplyDelete@Emily- thank you!! Ive often thought about going to the republic for flowers, but im worried about them having to travel so far. I had a look at her site and she is awesome though.
ReplyDeleteIf you need someone to drive the get away car after you steal the dress I am available.....!!
ReplyDeleteThe advantage is that I have driven the crazy little roads in Ireland and lived to tell the tale. Oh and we drive on the same side of the road in SA as they do over there!!!

ReplyDeletei totally didn't get the dress i loved. mainly because it was 9x over my budget. god i wish i was one of those girls on that say yes to the dress show, just once. their budgets are in-sane.
You are on a roll! Good for you. Your inspiration looks amazing and totally what I would do so I love it even more. Ha -Heidi http://fabricandfrosting.blogspot.no/
ReplyDeleteSuper impressed. I would send you a virtual hug but I'm jealous of your national gymnastics team. Yours being YOURS, as in the USA.
ReplyDeleteI just want to be Gabrielle Douglas.
Not that this really has anything to do with you or your wedding...
*virtual hug anyway* Go Team Megphen! (I'm working on it..) Xx
I would get the dress if I were you, even if it is over budget, it's what you love and if you get something else it might not be as special as it could be of you had the perfect dress. Can't wait to see what the dress looks like!
ReplyDeleteLauren,

you seriously are a wedding planning machine! good for you!! you could totally be a wedding planner.
ReplyDeleteGood for you! I've been engaged for almost a year, and haven't done anything yet. My fiance and I JUST made our date official - June 27th. And we have a venue in mind, but still need to book it. That's it so far. I'm not sure when I'm supposed to start dress shopping/etc. since it's still 10 months away. I have a checklist I found in a magazine and that said I was supposed to start looking last month and this month I'm supposed to buy it, but that seems like so much extra time!

you are on top of your shit! SEriously. Aaron and I have been engaged for well over a year and we haven't picked a date yet- although, I think we did the other night while drunk at a bar, LOL, I don't remember the date. I mostly feel like we're already married. I can't wait to hear more about your planning!
ReplyDeleteI love all of these wedding related posts. Keep 'em comin'! Call me crazy for not knowing, but what is a "chair hire"? I also love that you can poke fun about having already had a wedding, in my opinion (not that I have a right to one) I think having that experience will only make this wedding/marriage (more importantly) even better for you an Stephen. Hope you find a way to get your dress!
ReplyDeletehow exciting!
ReplyDeleteYou are on top of it girl! I am impressed! And, I would be the same with the dress, once I've fallen in love with something it's over - I'm sure it will end up in your closet one way or another :)

The bridal dress, cakes and flower image were shared was perfect. The wedding theme color was picked is very good that is light pink. Many of the wedding planning people are in confusion state where to start a wedding planning. They should use the wedding mobile app and it will guide into the successful wedding.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot for sharing this! Very useful! Planning a wedding is a lot of work - I helped my sister plan hers. We started by creating a list of what needed to be done from selecting the guests to picking a venue and onto the small things like considering a charter bus rental for those in the wedding. It's a lot of work, but it can be done as long as you give yourself enough time.
ReplyDeleteGo ang get that dress! I'm definitely sure it would look good on you and you make a stunning bride. I'm excited for you!
