I could LIVE in this sweater,
and it may be reason enough to not despise living in a cooler climate
(I will still dislike, just maybe not despise).
That is BIG people.
I am going to stop talking about the weather though,
because I am turning into one of "those people"
and by turning into, I mean I have already become one,
like for two years now.
oof.
like for two years now.
oof.
The other day I said to S that I don't care anymore if the sun comes out or not
(this was obviously said after being in a stressed state about feeling the rush to get outside the moment the sun appears).
He turned to me with this HUGE smile on his face and was all
"Oh pet, I have been waiting for you to say that! That makes me so happy to hear."
His response was as though I complained a lot or something.....
We are still in Amsterdam
(where the weather might be more bipolar than in Scotland...k. now I'm done.)
I am being a good house sitter by wearing Liz's clothes, using her hair products/tools, and looking through her drawers for dirty secrets.
I joke.
Only the first two things are true.

I can't blame you for using all of Liz's things - she has impeccable style!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rest of your time in Amsterdam - sun or not!
i am so one of those people! and because i'm a vancouverite, i have a pathological fear of wasting a sunny day, which is RIDICULOUS in sydney! i get laughed at. a lot. loving the sweater, we're just coming to the end of our sweater days here ;)
ReplyDeleteThis sweater is amazingly comfortable looking. I can see why you're living in it, i would never want to take it off!

i'm envious of your year-round fall/winter weather because it means you can wear that sweater in august!!! i mean, i'd be good with like 3 weeks of summer so I can wear my rompers, sandals, and maxi dresses, but then i'd be happy to go back to 60-degree weather so i can cozy up in stuff like these. #TGIALD (thank god it's almost labor day!!)
ReplyDeleteCupcakesOMG!
This sweater makes me wish it was slightly cooler where I'm at! I'm not wishing for your weather though... Hope you find some good secrets in those drawers :)

I am one of those people too. Upstate NY has it's many grey days too. We have had such an amazing summer, I'm almost exhausted from all the sunny days. I have to take advantage of every minute...and now I'm feeling ready for fall, and sweaters and boots and skinny jeans. I'm so sick of shaving my legs :)
ReplyDeleteOkay you're so gorg it isn't even funny!!!! And funny thing about Amsterdam...we flew in there for our a layover when we went on our honeymoon, only I was petrified to fly in there because I was afraid the airport would be dirty, full of hookers and drugs! How naiive am I!? Seriously!? Hahaha! The airport ended up being HUGE and actually REALLY nice with lots of cute shops! I am so weird. Anyway, I hope you are having fun love bug! Save some of that pretty for me okay? I love you muffin!

Gorgeous jumper!!
ReplyDeleteI have turned into one of those people that talk about the weather all the time - except for me I am sick of the sun and the heat and want some sweet cold relief.
I am longing to put on tracksuit bottoms and a hoodie and curl up on the sofa with a cup of tea - but when it is 40 degrees, you want to refrain from anything that could induce more sweat.
:)
This definitley makes me laugh! I love it! Your Humor is spot on!!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are having a good time!
I talk about the weather a bit too...It's typical August here in San Diego. Nasty Hot! But the clouds are making there way, but that just makes it muggy and humid! Bleh!

ReplyDeleteand liz has amazing clothes--i would be making the most of it too.
and there is a place that has more bipolar weather than scotland--i think they should sell postcards with that on ;)
Such a darling sweater, i need a soft sweater like that! Ps. Keep talking about the weather, it's what everyone in every single culture always talks about ;)
ReplyDeletehaha you're such a great house sitter lol.
ReplyDeleteAnd I feel like I talk about weather a lot... hm. We're getting a kick start on old age, ay?
I'm pretty sure I would love to house/dog sit for her just to wear her clothes myself...and I'm not that much of a dog person, so that's saying a lot!
ReplyDeleteI hate it when I realize I've been complaining a lot about something without fulling being aware of it. But honestly, your bumming on your bi polar weather over there wasn't bugging me one bit. :)

Haha, I'm pretty sure I would have already died a slow death if I was living in the UK or Scandinavia... let's just say I don't tolerate the cold very well. Maybe it's a southern California thing or something? ;)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy Amsterdam... I would totally dig into Liz's clothes too!

ha. housesitting for someone fabulous (hello Liz) is the best! usually, we do it for my parents and it involves watering plants and feeding fish, the worst:-) xoxo

Where was this sweater when I lived in Seattle?! HA. You're a stunner. Stop it. But don't....I love your pretty and smiley face :)
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to disagree with Gaby and say that we're very lucky as Vancouverites. Its never too hot or cold, and the rain is a small price to pay for living in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. However, this was a realization I only had after living across the country for school and deciding it just wasn't a "forever home." You overlook the imperfections in your "forever" home and people because it is just so right to have them in your life. I guess my point is that its good you accept Scotland for what it is to enjoy the present and realize it might not be where you want to live personally.
ReplyDeleteAnnnnnd I wrote an essay that is only slightly related to a tangent of this post.
You look beautiful! xo, Christina
