Autumn

Jacket, Scarf, shirt, bracelet c/o Marc Cain | Jeans: H&M | Watch: Asos (similar & on sale) | Bracelets c/o poshlocket (here)| Sunglasses: Topshop (similar)

For those in the USA,
you probably are not aware that this summer in the UK was one of THE worst summers ever.
I promise that is not just me saying that,
Brits all over are complaining of the lack of summer weather we got this year.
Scotland had it the worst (OF COURSE)
and England had maybe a couple more weeks of sun than wales, scotland, and northern ireland.
To give you an idea,
while it may have been warmer and a tad humid,
here in glasgow we have experienced about two-three weeks total of sunshine weather during the entire course of the summer months.
It is usually never full days of sun either,
it will either start off with rain, or end in rain.

It has been awesome. <-----heavy sarcasm

So now I'm like,
bring it on autumn,
I am ready for you,
because it's not like I was wearing my maxi dresses and shorts anyway.

So while there may still be a couple weeks left of "summer"
for all of you in the warmer parts of the world
(ie: southern california)
I am kick starting fall wear early.
See above photos.

Because lets be honest,
you can only pretend it's summer for so long before you start to really feel like an idiot for continuosly wearing sandals in the pouring rain.
Not that I did that or anything.

  3. I am so happy with mother nature's generosity here in RI. We'd a very long summer but its starting to cool down after all, I guess none of us can't scape it.

  4. I feel for you! I went to Poland back in June, and the weather was horrible. We'd wake up and it'd be perfectly sunny, and then out of nowhere, clouds and rain. It was ridiculous. (I brought so many cute outfits that just sat there, buried at the bottom of my suitcase. The horror!)

But I remember something about Stephen saying he'd move to So-Cal so we'll just keep that hope alive. Hahaha :)

the good news is that fall clothes are totally cute :)

  7. That makes me a little less jealous of you living abroad. DC may not be as exciting but as least we got sun! Thought you're at least looking stylish in the rain :)

  11. I was like "what the crap...autumn" then I was like...oh yea the craptastic weather. Also, can you explain to me why the people on the Geordie Shore always say "us" when they mean "me"?

  13. I am excited for fall fashion too, but I have to admit that I keep summer going for most of the year.. When you live on the NJ shore its easy!! You start wearing shorts in February when its not the least bit worm (guilty..)

  14. I have been the idiot pretending it's summer, no shame! And the person who finally gives in to whatever the weather calls for in the way of proper attire. The stubborn idiot comes naturally for me, it's the smart dresser that requires surremder. Enjoy your fall. :)

  20. i don't know how you do it, my friend....

but, if it makes you feel ANY better, it's been in the 100s and humid at my ranch here in SoCal... not exactly"jealous inducing" weather...

but shit, only 2-3 weeks of sunshine and NO full days of it..?!? seriously, how do you stay sane? (oh right.. stephen, duh!)

  22. Let's see... there were two warm weeks in March, then a half-week in May, then the sun showed up for the Olympics. And it's rained non-stop since the closing ceremonies, I swear. I love GB, I love rain, but really. REALLY. This has been ridiculous.

  23. San Diego's heat-wave is getting ridiculous though. This has to be one of the hottest summers we've had in a while and now that I can almost smell fall...I want it to be here NOW. I even went and bought a few cute big sweaters, long sleeves, boots, and a jean jacket yesterday in hopes that the weather will change before October.

I would kill for a little bit of Rain around here...Or a Cold Breeze.

  24. well at this point, I am 100% ready for some fall weather anyway... just so I can wear my scarves and jackets lol basically what I'm saying is I'm obsessed with this outfit.

And I applaud you for surviving that "summer." I would have thrown a hissy fit and moved.

  25. Love your leather jacket, so cute!! I lived in London for a summer and remember coming home pasty white {which is hard to believe since I'm Latin}...it was tough! But yay for Autumn, one of my favorite seasons :)

  26. Wearing sandals in the rain is always so awkward feeling.... guilty. But it's fun to pretend, anyway. I tried to protest fall by wearing a tank top. Bad idea. But still.

  27. oh I feel ya, summer in San Francisco is like nuclear winter. Fog, wind, and some more fog. Bring it on October, because it will most likely be the only time this year I can wear shorts.

  28. I am SO sorry for your lack of summmer.

But this outfit is amazing! It made me really want fall to be here!

  31. I feel your pain. Here in Cork (Ireland) we've had the WORST summer ever too. Weather has been absolutely awful - there have really only been two beautiful, proper summer days - one back in May and the other only a couple of weeks ago.

I'm in need of a sun holiday, really not looking forward to the winter!

  32. Girl, I am totally with you. The weather has SUCKED in Germany too. Right now it's not sunny enough to wear summer clothes but still too humid to wear fall clothes...you can't win, you're always too warm or too cold.

Your new design is absolutely amazing.
