Happy Friday!
Today I am wearing a yellow blazer, sandals, and sunglasses and it's basically the dead of winter outside.
I have decided to pretend it is summer anyway..
because its the only thing that gets me through the days,
that,
and watching the real housewives of Orange County.
They always make me feel better about my life.
Stephen and I also just carried a TV and TV stand up seven flights of stairs..
and by Stephen and I, I mean Stephen.
Only to have our power box thing not work.
Today is one of those days..
just walk away now..
Spend some time with the following ladies who are probably not eating their feelings and sulking.

Blogging has honestly been a saving grace when it comes to being an expat.
It has united me with people all over, who are experiencing the same highs and lows of expat life as I am.
Jay is one of those expects that I've "met" via blogging.
She has been living her expat life in West Africa,
but VERY soon she will be moving her adventure to Norway!
Hello Across The Pond readers. I'm Jay and I've been chronicling my husband and I's adventures overseas at From There To Here. A couple of years ago we packed up our comfortable life in Canada for Gabon in West Africa. (Don't worry - no one knows where that is however, you may vaguely recall that Survivor was once filmed there.) We've spent the last 2 years experiencing the highs and lows of life in the third world but now we're ready for a new challenge. In one week's time we'll be leaving Gabon to start a brand new adventure in Norway. Feel free to join us!

So I LOVE Sarah,
but omg her basset hound might be the cutest dog in the whole world..
LOOK AT THAT FACE!!
I die.
Sarah is seriously one of those girls where I feel like we would be really good friends in real life.
We share a love for good food, reality tv, dogs, and social networking...
perfect match if you ask me.
Hi there Across the Pond readers! I'm Sarah and I blog over at Total Basset Case. I am a 27 year old basset hound mama to Floyd, wife to the Mister and interior designer residing in Cincinnati. When I'm not blogging I fill my time with crafting, designing, photography, cooking (currently in love with truffle oil), and drinking wine. Oh, and Diet Coke. Definitely a lot of Diet Coke. And then some more eating and cooking. I love a good meal plan, Mexican food, blog stalking, instagramming, and quality evenings on the sofa with the Real Housewives. Stop on by and say hello for a bit, we'd love to have ya!

Is it weird that I feel a special connection to Canadians?
I don't know if its because living in the UK 90% of the time people think I am Canadian..
or 90% of the time i think a Canadian is American..
It could be because I lived in Canada for 3 years when I was younger..
but I digress.
Cassie and her hubby are the cutest little Canadian couple..
currently living in Utah!
(all you Utah BYU peeps holler at your girl cassie!)
Bonjour amie (hello friends)...Ok ok I am not really french, just pretending to entice you. Although I am Canadian and we are bilingual up there and my husband is from Montreal so....I'm basically French and exotic!
I blog at Come What May. Title inspired by some pretty epic Moulin Rouge duets sung in the car with my husband Ben and just enjoying the journey and loving love no matter what comes along.
I am an addict....In the areas of TV, nail polish and diet coke. I love movies and cry in most of them. I am an advertising major at BYU in Utah which means yes, I have met Don Draper and Jeff from the Bachelorette!
So come and visit my little corner on the world wide web
I love new blog friends.
Au Revoir!

Do you want to come to Texas? Because it's currently in the 90s and humid as a swamp out there, and I don't want to leave the air conditioning ever again. I hope it warms up soon for you!
ReplyDeleteAnd here I was complaining about the rainy weather we've had in NY all week. I'm sorry it's winter for you.
ReplyDeleteOkay, so I have this theory about the RHOC. I guess it's not really a theory. But let's just say they really get me thinking about life sometimes. And in a good way. Crazy, I know.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, hoping your day ends better than it started!! xoxo
the weather is ridiculous in Scotland right now. I mean I know we never have the best weather, but it's June & I want it to be summer like it should be! :( x
ReplyDeleteIt better warm up when I get there next month. That's all I'm sayin'.
ReplyDeleteI don't know Cassie, but as a BYU Grad (although not a Utah native), I feel obligated to HOLLER!! Not that I ever miss a chance to holler anyway...
ReplyDeleteI admire your dedication. I didn't know weather was a fake-it-till-you-make-it situation but I'm glad you went for it. I'm keeping my jeans in rotation for as long as possible (re: until it's 100 degrees here in, oh, two weeks).
ReplyDeleteIf I could trade you our house in the Sonoran desert for your flat in the UK, I'd do it in a second! You'd have to get over some seriously outdated linoleum in the kitchen and the occasional rattlesnake in the driveway, but you'd be guaranteed sun and 104+ temps for as long as the weather channel extended forecast is predicting. Which is the entire freaking foreseeable future. I love love love rain and gloom. :)
ReplyDeleteYa here in ax we are getting up to 110... I am tempted to trade you!!! Love your blog btw
ReplyDeleteI meant az!!!
ReplyDeleteLet me guess- you're eating oreos. I think it's awesome you can eat an entire sleeve.
ReplyDeleteYay more expat blogs to read!
ReplyDeleteI definitely have a couple blog friends who have really helped me through some tough times being an expat. What did people do before blogs?!
The weather is awful here in England too.. I think Summer has bypassed us this year! xx
ReplyDeleteI just ate my weight in guacamole. Just because.
ReplyDeleteI win.
I am sure summer will come to Scotland eventually! Fingers crossed! And great recommendations, I am off to check them out now - thanks for sharing!
