Date Night

Scarf c/o DesigningMason, Blazer: Zara   White T shirt: HM  Pants: HM  Earrings: c/o Poshlocket  Bracelet: c/o Jenna

Date night in all of its glory.
After our trip to the farm Stephen took me to our favorite restaurant in Glasgow,
This place is seriously magical.
Each room/bar is different and unique.
And the food is some of the best I've ever had.
I demolished a lobster.
He had no chance.

Stephen had called ahead and had a bottle of prosecco already at the table
(man points)
We talked for hours,
laughed,
ate,
drank,
and felt uncomfortable next to the young newly engaged couple next to us who just sat on their phones the entire time.

I got to bust out my new white pants and scarf that I'm obsessed with.
All was right with the world.

Until i almost went the wrong way to the bathroom
and one of the men at the door had to correct me..
embarrassing.

I blame the amount of stairs and levels..
definitely not the Prosecco....

  8. sexy white pants.

i can say that without sounding creepy right? also. i tend to go into the mens room at restaurants that insist on naming it buckeroos and buckeraas or putting unrecognizable drawings on the doors.

    makes for an awkward introduction.

  12. Those white jeans are so cute! I just bought a pair of yellow ones, my hubs said tweety bird when I out them on for him though...so it'll be awhile before they go out into public.

The building you were in looks lovely. That's one thing I really want to see when I finally travel abroad. All those beautiful older buildings.

  14. Is it weird that I want to go on a date night with you and Stephen? I love how he wined and dined you in such a posh way. PS... you look gorgeous. I think you need to be Scotland's top model.

  16. Absolutely love that scarf. Funny I don't remember seeing it in the instagram pictures. Silly eyes missing vital details...

At first I thought you literally meant that couple were 'sitting on their phones' and I was thinking, good for them for staying focused on each other, but then the other side of the brain kicked in. so I'm gonna go with they each played on their phones the whole time, yes??

To complete it out...I think I'm going deaf too..good thing you didn't talk in this post. =/

  18. That scarf is amazing! Also, you're incredibly brave to wear white pants to dinner. I'd spill 74 things before they even brought the entrée. Last, I want that chair!

  19. What the fuhhhhh. Why are there no gorgeous restaurants like that in California? Well there probably are some foofy ones but none that are as classic as that one! So jealous! And love the scarf btw.

  21. Oh my god that place looks gorgeous! And how sweet of Stephen! Also your outfit is great and I wish that scarf could be in my closet now. Anyway sounds like a great date night and much better than that of the phone addicted newly engaged couple near you haha. Maybe they communicate by texting eachother. Kids these days.

  31. Hi Megan,

We are opposites! I am a former neuroscience nerd turned fashion industry girl (gone digital!)

I am always amazed at how the two are related... understanding people is a fascinating thing.

I am excited to share your journey on your blog and learn more about your life in a new country and culture.

  37. haha I had lunch with friends the other day and we were really uncomfy because of the two people next to us who didn't say one word to each other the whole time they sat there. Glad I'm not the only one not minding my business!
