Date night in all of its glory.
After our trip to the farm Stephen took me to our favorite restaurant in Glasgow,
This place is seriously magical.
Each room/bar is different and unique.
And the food is some of the best I've ever had.
I demolished a lobster.
He had no chance.
Stephen had called ahead and had a bottle of prosecco already at the table
(man points)
We talked for hours,
laughed,
ate,
drank,
and felt uncomfortable next to the young newly engaged couple next to us who just sat on their phones the entire time.
I got to bust out my new white pants and scarf that I'm obsessed with.
All was right with the world.
Until i almost went the wrong way to the bathroom
and one of the men at the door had to correct me..
embarrassing.
I blame the amount of stairs and levels..
definitely not the Prosecco....

Jenna
dude I always walk into the men's bathroom. Sober.
ReplyDeleteLove your scarf!! Sounds like a fabulous date night!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great picture of you & Stephen. Total man points on the prosecco. :)
ReplyDeletesounds so delightful! you look like a saucy little vixen (: s is lucky.
ReplyDeletelove that scarf! And that restaurant looks amazing! lobster sounds delish!
ReplyDeleteThis is so great. Y'all are just too adorable together. And now you have me craving lobster.
ReplyDeletesexy white pants.
ReplyDeletei can say that without sounding creepy right? also. i tend to go into the mens room at restaurants that insist on naming it buckeroos and buckeraas or putting unrecognizable drawings on the doors.
makes for an awkward introduction.
You both look absolutely stunning! As does that restaurant. X
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous building! And you two are looking pretty adorable as well! Love how thoughtful Stephen is towards you!:)
ReplyDeleteThat place looks gorgeous! And I really like your scarf.
ReplyDeleteThose white jeans are so cute! I just bought a pair of yellow ones, my hubs said tweety bird when I out them on for him though...so it'll be awhile before they go out into public.
ReplyDeleteThe building you were in looks lovely. That's one thing I really want to see when I finally travel abroad. All those beautiful older buildings.
I love the scarf.
ReplyDeleteAnd it was definitely nothing to do with the prosecco ;)
Is it weird that I want to go on a date night with you and Stephen? I love how he wined and dined you in such a posh way. PS... you look gorgeous. I think you need to be Scotland's top model.

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love that scarf. Funny I don't remember seeing it in the instagram pictures. Silly eyes missing vital details...
ReplyDeleteAt first I thought you literally meant that couple were 'sitting on their phones' and I was thinking, good for them for staying focused on each other, but then the other side of the brain kicked in. so I'm gonna go with they each played on their phones the whole time, yes??
To complete it out...I think I'm going deaf too..good thing you didn't talk in this post. =/
Emily at Amazing Grapes
you looked fab!
ReplyDeletegreat date!
cheers.
That scarf is amazing! Also, you're incredibly brave to wear white pants to dinner. I'd spill 74 things before they even brought the entrée. Last, I want that chair!
ReplyDeleteWhat the fuhhhhh. Why are there no gorgeous restaurants like that in California? Well there probably are some foofy ones but none that are as classic as that one! So jealous! And love the scarf btw.
ReplyDeleteChampagne Lifestyle on a Beer Budget
that chair! can you go back and steal it for me? just one. it'll count as your carry-on when you come back to CA. no?
ReplyDeleteOh my god that place looks gorgeous! And how sweet of Stephen! Also your outfit is great and I wish that scarf could be in my closet now. Anyway sounds like a great date night and much better than that of the phone addicted newly engaged couple near you haha. Maybe they communicate by texting eachother. Kids these days.
ReplyDeleteAre you sat in a throne?!
ReplyDeleteThis looks so lovely.
Love the scarf. And you look so pretty and happy! I remember when we went out for our anniversary dinner and the couple next to us were on their phone the whole time - that's so sad! I don't think people prioritize quality time anymore !
ReplyDeleteyou look stunning...
ReplyDeletenah both of you do.
at least you didn't actually use the men's room (how is it possible to ignore urinals???) and nobody stared at you on leaving like t happened to someone I know...
Me.
ahh, I love Prosecco. you two are so cute together. Cheers to date night!

ReplyDeleteyou look gorgeous! and that place absolutely looks magical.
ReplyDeleteI want to hang out in those chairs! And eat lobster. Basically I want to go on that date- would that be awkward? :)
ReplyDeleteLove your outfit!!! That looks like the perfect white tee! Where did you find it?
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun date :)
ReplyDeleteI Love (and am jealous) that you can wear the simplest of outfits but look so beautiful and elegant. :) Stunning!!
Hi Megan,
ReplyDeleteWe are opposites! I am a former neuroscience nerd turned fashion industry girl (gone digital!)
I am always amazed at how the two are related... understanding people is a fascinating thing.
I am excited to share your journey on your blog and learn more about your life in a new country and culture.

Aww you look so pretty!!! :)
ReplyDeleteCalled ahead for Prosecco? I'm glad you already have your claws in.
ReplyDeleteso while i am distracted to learn they have lobster there.. which i am not sure why i thought they didn't...the chair is blowing my mind.
ReplyDeletewas it like you were soaring through space? in a space shuttle??
I can't get over how cute you are and I love the outfit. Drinking and eating are my favorite things too.
ReplyDeleteYou are SO gorg. I might not could be your friend in real life r/t the gorgeousness.
ReplyDeleteI love your scarf!
ReplyDeleteKind of sad about the couple next to you who were on their phones the whole time though. :(
haha I had lunch with friends the other day and we were really uncomfy because of the two people next to us who didn't say one word to each other the whole time they sat there. Glad I'm not the only one not minding my business!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the entire outfit! You embody effortless chic. That place is absolutely gorgeous...I'd totally move my wedding there if all 150 of our guests would be willing to travel to Scotland (okay, maybe not ALL 150...side eye to my boss).
ReplyDeleteYou look so laid back and elegant, love it!
ReplyDeleteYou look seriously stunning in these pics Meg.
ReplyDeleteThat's all I wanted to say.
You looked FAB! What a beautiful building!
