My family graduation photo folks..
in all of its glory..

Its one of those photos where you could see it and be like,
huh, that's cute..
im not sure if her brother is being funny..
or he isn't normal/he is a closet sociopath..
or they forced them into that pose..

They definitely didn't tell us the pose like that..
in fact the photographer said,
"you sure you want to pose like that?"
and shane was all
"yes, of course I do."

She (photographer) did however place my moms arm on me like that..
which totally looks natural..
and that "diploma" im holding?
a fake.

I knew when i put it on facebook the majority of my friends would be like
omg..shane totally did that on purpose
(which he did guys.. don't worry)
but then there were the select few who clearly don't know us well,
(read: the friends you add because you knew them 15 years ago in junior high  but as soon as you add them you instantly unsubscribe from their feed)
who were all
"that's pretty"
really?

I think it should be mounted over a fireplace, personally.

  5. It looks like it should be an early 90s college prospectus thing--you know the photo of the proud graduate with a quote about how this uni is the best ever and you would be nowhere without it.

  7. Oh I nearly forgot to say its way better than mine--my sister said "literally what happened to your face when they took it, what is wrong with your chin!?"

    It was a real confidence boost and now seems to haunt me at my family's houses--great!

  16. It reminds me of a family friendly show from the 80's or 90's. DJ Tanner on graduation day. Or Mallory Keaton's, and Alex has to be nice and awkward in the picture. I feel like a very valuable life lesson has been learned or a crisis resolved in this 30 minute sitcom. Tune in next week.

    "Sister's graduation photo... How can I make this as awkward as possible while still remaining full clothed... I wonder if I pose like... Hellooooo pretty lady!"

  42. this photo reminds me a little bit of one of those families on the cornflakes packages! Or the members of "7th heaven".. Shanes head seems to be photoshoped on the body of a preachers son :D

  44. It really does look straight out of a church directory. I have a beauty that literally is from our 90s church directory and my hands are on my brother's shoulders and we look just plain dorky. Love these gems!

    Your lovely and attractive brother seems quite creepy and prone to choking women when he gets into drunken rages or sees that the table has been set incorrectly or that the cans in the cupboard have not all been filed with the label facing the same direction...

    Very, very scary.

    And your kungfu grip looks almost like a subtle cry for help...

    seriously. Your brother is hilarious. And I am sorry for calling him attractive. It slipped out. Just like my love that I have for foreign, european, white males. I just love being honest with you I suppose.
