Remember that time I mentioned I cooked Brisket?
And then told you I would tell you the recipe?
Well now you get it..
(I totally don't remember what post I told you about the brisket..but I'm sure I did..)
You will find the recipe at one of my fav food bloggers blogs..
I go there when my body starts yelling at me to put DOWN the fried chicken..and make a salad.
Its basically the easiest recipe ever..

and then after you make the brisket you can make this cake
recipe:
CAKE:
DRY:
6oz self rising flour
2tb cocoa powder
1tsp baking soda
4oz golden caster sugar (regular sugar)
1 oz brown sugar
WET:
2tb real maple syrup
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 tsp vanilla extract
sift dry ingredients, add in soft brown sugar, mix wet together, and add dry to wet..mix well, divide between to lined and greased 8inch round cake tins..
bake at 300 F for 20-25 minutes.
BUTTER CREAM FROSTING:
5oz unsalted butter
12 oz of powdered sugar
4tbs cocoa powder
a little milk
tsp vanilla extract
Butter at room temp.
beat the butter until light and fluffy, sift in the powdered sugar a little at a time, then add a little milk to loosen the mixture, add vanilla, sift in cocoa until its all combined.
GANACHE
8oz bitter sweet chocolate
1oz unsalted butter
3/4 heavy cream
Put all ingredients in a double broiler (bowl over pot of simmering water)
until chocolate melts and cream heats..
then lift off and stir until all chocolate melts.
leave to cool until you can spread it without it running.
just don't tell Kelly.
