Weekend View

clever

Blouse: Zara; Trousers: H&M; Coat: Nordstrom; Cowl: c/o Loveleigh; Purse: Atmosphere

This weekend I learned that:

a. Saying you're dropping the kids off at the pool can mean that you are either taking your human children to the swimming pool or that you are going to go poop in the toilet.

b. There is no escaping the fact you live in Scotland due to the endless amount of bagpipe playing/kilt wearing in town on the weekend.

c. when in doubt, turn to your boyfriend to accent translate for you.

d. Eve is to blame for my PMS. you know, because she ate the apple.

  1. I laughed out loud at the invisible sign! I should try that - I wonder who would humour me. Hmmm. Perhaps I shall conduct an experiment and then blog my results!? ;)

As for "dropping the kids of at school" meaning doing a poop...I have never heard that ever before, but am now sniggering like a 12 year old boy! Ha!

  2. Scotland looks lovely! I can't wait to visit. Just started my adventures in Czech Republic and I'm keen to explore as much of Europe as possible :-)

  7. I obviously hung out with WAY too many boys during adolescence (aka into THEIR late 20's...) because I know several phrases for "dropping the kids off at the pool"...Sigh.

What I wouldn't give to hear bagpipes on the regular. Sigh again.

    Eve can just suck it.

  19. hahaha, too funny seeing bagpipers in front of TGIF's.
I wonder when Mr. Invisible comes to collect his earnings. The Sr. Pastor at our old church, his dad was the chief of police in Chicago and would tell us how so many of the beggers and homeless people get so much asking for money on the streets that at night they go home to penthouse suits of the city. 22. I have a few choice words for Eve myself. And as for the bagpipes, it reminds me of my first trip to Edinburgh... Walking down the street with my friend, hearing them through the rain and her saying, "Is that a whiff of bagpiping I hear?"

    Ah. Precious moments.

Is it funny I balked at the TGI Friday's being there more than the 2 kids playing bagpipes?

  44. I stumbled into your blog from e-tells-tales and I quickly realized we live in the same city. It's awkward to leave a comment based on that, but my friend Fabienne is the great mind behind that invisible sign so I just had to say something (not that it makes it less awkward). anyway, cheers! gio
