snippets from this week...
which involved leisure walks around the new neighborhood.
We will be venturing into the city centre this weekend at some point I'm sure.
I have to get re-adjusted to using public transport..
In Nottingham we could use my Irish boyfriends car more often because the city was more spread out..
but to have use a car here, in Glasgow, is like using a car in New York..
pretty pointless.
Unless you like sitting in traffic..
which actually I do..
I am from LA after all..
but apparently using the car here is just silly..
whatever.
What I wouldn't give to be able to drive here..
darn those manuals..
that drive on the wrong side of the road.
double fail.
You cant tell..
but the *ladies looked really big in that sweater.
It doesn't happen often
so I have to celebrate it via public blog when it does.
*the ladies: my breasteses

i get really excited when i see that you've updated your blog. probably because i'm going to star in it soon. ya know...in 2 months.
ReplyDeleteYou have no idea how jealous I am that you're living in Scotland (let alone Glasgow!). When i was living in London, it just felt too...big, and I wished I could scoot up to Edinburgh or Glasgow, find a cozy place there and just enjoy the sound of the Scottish accent :)
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, when the ladies look big in anything, it's an accomplishment!
That sweater looks so warm and cozy!
ReplyDeletethe inside of your new place is so cutie!!!
ReplyDeleteand i like to call them treats ha!
my ladies look good in some sweaters.
ReplyDeletemight be because i wear that boost-2-sizes-bra from VS. Adam claims it's false advertising.
I love that you said breasteses. I say that all the time and no one gets it..
ReplyDeleteI celebrate when mine look big sometimes too..which is a very rare occurance :)
Lovely images and plaid shirt. Enjoy your first w-e in Glasgow!

I think using a car in any large cities is rather pointless :D But I dont mind it either when I have music it's all good ;)
ReplyDeleteThe fireplace looks really cute btw :D
xx Seph
ahhh finally, a blogger who is freakin' hilarious and uses words like breasteses! Love love love it:)
ReplyDeleteGirl. Where did you get those earrings? FAB.
ReplyDeleteDaryl
driving on the wrong side of the road sounds fun, but I am the person who doesn't drive well on the right side.... so attempting it might be a little suicidal.
ReplyDeleteThe large house that isn't yours is stunning! It looks so warm and charming!! :)
ReplyDeleteim a public celebrator too. usually the boyfriend dies a little from embarrassment.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was in London, I loved not having to drive but still being able to go all over the place. Of course I had paid a transit fee before the trip that filled my Tube pass for the entire 6 weeks. So it didn't feel like I was having to pay to go anywhere. I imagine not having a car feels a little imprisoning, too. But I live out in the boonies where there isn't a real town for 15 miles. Cars are a necessity! It would be nice to live somewhere where I didn't depend on one so much.
ReplyDeleteYou are so funny! Scotland suits you quite well and I am so happy that you are happy! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteP.S. I thought of you yesterday when I filled up my Zara cart with 100 things. I was good and only bought 2 things. :)
congrats on the ladies.
ReplyDeletehave a FANTASTIC weekend and make friends with public transit as fast as possible...no point in fighting it. xoxo jillian:: cornflake dreams
Loving your outfit! I love the look of plaid shirts layered under sweaters.. Also, that house that isn't yours is so stinkin' awesome looking.. When I was in Germany I was always in awe of how stately the homes looked. Love euro architecture
ReplyDeletexo,
Janell
just learn how to drive manual girlfriend! you'll feel like a rockstar when you can.
ReplyDeleteand hallelujah for shirts that show off the ladies. i don't really need special shirts, but boyfriend doesn't complain when i find an especially awesome one.
I can totally tell your ladies look big in the sweater.
ReplyDeleteit's all I notice when I look at the pic.
my ladies look pretty big also in my pics. but that's only because I bought them that way.
The photos are gorgeous and here here to breasteses looking big in clothes :-) Hahaha!
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend!
Much love, Bailey from Vanilla Blonde
so my exboyfriend and i lived in the city center in aberdeen. I walked to work (in the city center but hello.. 1.5 miles each way! (including in the snow) and he drove to just outside town for work. literally hed get there sooner. and would be upset when i wanted to take the car to the theatre or shops in the city center claiming it was so close.
ReplyDeletemoral of the story:
wear flats
invest in very very thick socks in the winter (and waterproof boots)
insist that the boy does what you want (use the whole weaker sex thing.. or ur ladytime.. whatevs. :>)
love the flat!
ana
blogger did not like my post. :l
ReplyDeletewheni lived in aberdeen (so close to edinburgh) i lived in the city center with the ex. i walked about 3 miles to/from work also in the city center (also in snow!) and he drove to work just outside the city center for literally less than it took me to walk. then when we wanted to go in town he insisted we walk.. :(
moral of the story:
flats
waterproof boots + thick socks
insist the boy drive. we are the weaker sex after all? (dont be!)
This fireplace looks amazing and I love that you used the word 'breasteses' :D
ReplyDeleteI spent the last two weeks in Ireland. Tell your boyfriend his native country is one of the most exciting countries I've ever travelled to! Can't wait to go back someday.
Whenever my 'ladies' look bigger I want to tell everyone. The mail man. Coworkers. My husband is not a fan of my enthusiasm. haha But he is a fan of the 'ladies', so he deals with it. ; )
ReplyDeleteHow cool is it that you got yourself a man that likes to take your picture. Possible keeper, that one.
ReplyDeleteI wore a shirt once (and had a picture taken in said shirt, no less) where everyone (read: mom/sis/and the man that is mine) said that my ladies were huge.
From then on I wore that shirt as often as I could. I revel in those comments...
Emily w/Amazing Grapes
hahahah.
ReplyDeletei love your very scholastic loook! i have a thing for grey sweaters. love em. i hope you have fun in your new scottish homeland, esp. this weekend when you go city hopping. woo!
Great sweater :) And your place is looking very comfy.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the world of public transit! After 4 years of living in Ireland with a guy's company car as a manual and wrong side of the road driving, I quickly became very familiar with buses and trams. Same goes for Dubai - luckily the metro here is convenient. :)
just lovely!
ReplyDeleteGlad you're enjoying yourself! I like the picture of the pooch :)
ReplyDeletenice pics!
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love when the girls look good? Give credit where credit is due.
ReplyDeleteI love that outfit. And I also adore that big comfy chair you're sitting in. I think I need to get myself one of those.
