Choose to be Happy

Chelsea sent me a giant box of American Goodies..
so basically you need to be her friend.
like yesterday.
And she shares my affinity for inappropriate humor.

***********

oooo i am so super excited to virtually be here today
you know, virtually 'Across the Pond'
on one of my virtual favs bloggie.

thanks Meggie.
you are virtually the best.

my name is Chelsea
from Choose to be Happy.
i live across the pond from Meg. oh and the rest of the UK, in Atlanta Georgia.
we share a similar love of ranch dressing, root beer floats, and really sexy boyfriends.

but today. today i am here to talk half birthdays with you.
let me preface this by saying i have always loved birthdays.
ever since i was little. not just my birthday, but birthdays in general.

but i also think waiting an entire year to celebrate your special day is overrated.
much like waiting to eat dessert after din.
both rules, i do not follow. such a rule breaker i am

so because of this, i am a big believer in half birthdays.
they are made to celebrate
not just mine... yours too!
and i am pretty good at celebrating

i'm especially fond of half birthday celebrations since most over the ripe age of um seven? don't keep track. {if at all}
i am the expectation.
this makes the element of surprise so much better.

in college, i always made sure to wake up extra early to decorate my roommates doors on their half b-day
and well i have carried this tradition into my life in the real world.

exhibit a,b, and c:

it's just my special way of showing those i love, just how lucky i am to have them in my life.
plus its just a perfect excuse to celebrate.

celebrations are fun.
and this life of ours is much too important to take so seriously
ameeeeeeen

thanks so much for having me meggie!

  3. i am LOVING this idea. i love my birthday (no shame) and i usually celebrate for about a week but there's only so much my liver + teeth (hello, sugar!) can handle so i think breaking it up to have TWO celebrations would be more approp. xoxo jillian:: don't miss my ayofemi jewelry giveaway

  12. I 100% agree with this! I am a huge birthday fan! And mine is NYE so I totally agree with celebrating 1/2 birthdays so I can have a celebration in the summer and not around a holiday.
