I like to leave an impression wherever I go..
my American stamp if you will.
On this particular trip to Ireland I
a. got a severe Kidney infection and had to go to the doctor twice
b. Thought my lady time was over so wore white pants then proceeded to have lady time all over them.
c. could not flush the toilet in the house I was staying at and had to wake up my friend to flush it for me. more than once.
d. wore flats and a white blazer to a farming fair.
e. all of the above.

oh gosh...i don't even know what to say....other than 'USA! USA!'. makes sense in my head, at least.
ReplyDeletethat's a perfectly successful trip. also, i miss sprinkles. gimmegimmeyumyumyum.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you definitely left your mark! lol. I found your blog from "one can hope"'s blog. I am from CA too, but Northern CA. I really like your pictures! How much longer will you be overseas?
ReplyDeleteoh WOW. kidneys are ok now right?
ReplyDeletethe toilet not flushing is one of those nightmare things. at least you had a friend with you who could help you out, and not have to call, like, the concierge. (i swear that didn't happen to me.)
oh, euro toilets.
oh my gosh my meg. i'm still so sorry about the kidney infection... but man do you look hot for someone with a kidney infection. and also someone who is on lady time. and the white pants ... pretty much the story of my life.
ReplyDeleteoh no, I hope you're feeling better!
ReplyDeleteA kidney infection!? :( I am so sorry Megan! I have had kidney stones and that was the worst pain I've ever experienced. I hope you are feeling better! Lady time always complicates lives doesn't it? Screw her! But on a good note, you still look beautiful. Xoxoxo.
ReplyDeleteHaha, you go, girl. :) But I seriously hope you're feeling better now??
ReplyDeleteI love how these candies are displayed like vegetables...
Enjoy the rest of your stay. Slainté.
I.. don't even know what to say. It sounds like you had several Michelle moments.
ReplyDeleteOkay, so I don't know whether I should laugh or cry for you reading these points... My sympathies to you my poor girl! I hope things improve rather quickly!

Boo to kidney infections. Ugh. But it still sounds like you managed to get some fun in and look gorgeous as usual. :)
ReplyDeleteOh gosh!!! What an adventure! ;)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! I imagine you were absolutely miserable with your kidney infection! I hope you're feeling better.
ReplyDeleteLove the photos!
ReplyDeleteI'm with the others, I don't even know what to say! Gosh, what a terrible time.
ReplyDeleteTrust me, Ireland really is wonderful. :)Go back...sans white pants.
Ouch. The kidneys. Hopefully you are better now! On all accounts... lady time and kidneys.
ReplyDeleteI love the picture of the piggies, and how they all look like they are wearing teeny white tee shirts.
I am absolutely in awe of this post. The blazer, the umbrella, the piglets....i want.
ReplyDeletebut mostly, i'm just hungry.
you always have to out-do everyone else don't you? :) sorry you were sick during your trip, but at least you were sick in IRELAND. I would take that if I could!
ReplyDeletep.s. such a cute outfit in your first picture! love it!
Oh my gosh, sounds like the trip has had some bumps! But ... you remind me of Kate M (Duchess) in that first photo!
ReplyDeleteAhhhh. Rogue kidneys and every white pants' arch nemesis. I think it could be a book. xoxo
ReplyDeleteOh no, Megan...you did not have lady time on your white pants. Well, if it makes you feel better a friend of mine sharted on her white pants. Yes...sharted I tell you! The trip looked amazing from your photos. Hope the kidneys are doing better!
ReplyDeleteHas anyone told you that you look slightly like Kate Middleton? Love your pics and even though you had some issues, you will always remember this trip!

ReplyDeleteOh dear, I'm glad you feeling better though! I hope you could enjoy Ireland!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh man, kidney infections suck! I had one when I was 18 and got kidney stones, I thought I was dying. Totally understand that nightmare. I'm sorry you lady timed all over your white pants but at least you didn't wear a skirt which I did once... =/
ReplyDeleteI hope you are feeling better! your pictures are fabulous!
ReplyDeleteAwww...well I hope the trip was still fun despite a, b, c, and d. P.S. What are the whips?
ReplyDeleteOmg. At least you can laugh (?) about it.
ReplyDeletethe photos don't even look like real life they are so amazing. sorry about the kidney, guess real life had to pinch you in someway...
ReplyDeleteWhat awesome pictures! But so sad to read about a kidney infection! That is the worst.
ReplyDeleteI hope you were able to bring that castle home with yo :)
Quite interesting...loved the last part of your post girl. ;) Not that it's funny. Sorry. And kidney infections suck big time. :( Hope you're feeling better now!???
ReplyDeletexoxo
Love the horse and buggy. Keep the pictures coming and before you know, the kid is yours.
ReplyDeleteI'm in amazement you could leave such a stamp there. I'm thinking C was a #2 kinda stamp, and for that, there's no words. (reminds me sorta of the time I had my 'lady time' at my parents, removed a certain something, toilet clogged, had to call my dad (who's very NOT into that) and unclog it for me.)
I'm thinking you and your friend are a little closer now.
did you know that you always make me laugh out loud? right now i am at work, giggling away in my little corner. undoubtedly getting strange looks.
ReplyDeletehaha! OH NO! I hope things are better now! I'm sure you still were able to enjoy some of it!
ReplyDeleteOh dear. For your sake I really hope it's not the white pants/lady time one :-/ eek.
ReplyDeleteI want to eat those whips. And ice cream.
Ouch, Kidneys... are you okay, now??
ReplyDeleteAnd you definitely left your mark lol
You will forever remember Ireland.
ReplyDeletewelp...left your mark you did. holy smokes! the lady time one kills me. i've never had that problem and can only pray that i never do.
ReplyDeletealso, i want to cuddle with those little piglets, they are too much!
can't wait for the rest of ireland.
Well I love your white blazer/khaki pant ensemble in the first photo! Sorry you had such a rough time! Does it make you feel better that I once had lady time while wearing a jersey knit skirt...on a date? "Oh! I must have sat in something..ha ha haaaa silly me" Hmmm...we didn't last very long...xo -Jet
ReplyDeleteYou're always so cuteeee. Excluding the lady time on white pants part probably! That's the worst. Happened to me freshman year of high school one time in science class. I freakin almost died. I'm getting red just thinking about it!
ReplyDeleteTHOSE PIGLETS!!! I neeeeeed one!
ReplyDeleteand i LOVE that outfit in the first picture. you are precious!
Dear me, Meghan! I am sorry! At least you were in one of the most beautiful places ever!
ReplyDeleteKind of makes me want to move there! But I must say I dearly want those kakis and when I moved I couldn't figure out how to flush the toilet. It was a button on the toilet. LAME.
ReplyDeleteAND I really love the blog makeover. LOVE IT!!!
ReplyDeletei have said this before but i love reading your blog. you really make me laugh out loud. usually at work. which only makes it a little awkward around the cube farm. esp since my work isn't funny.
ReplyDeletesooo i am passing on the 'lovely blog award' to you!!
check out my latest post on cheeriosandbeer.blogspot.com to grab it!!
xo,whit
Rest in peace, sweet, sweet, white pants. It's always to see them go like that. But Ireland looks like a very good place to visit! And that icecream looks DELISH.
ReplyDeleteLady time can be such a b*tch! At least your umbrella is cute! :)
ReplyDeleteOooh, I love those giant whip things - didn't know that's what they are called, but I used to spend most of my pocket money on them as a kid!
ReplyDeleteCeline
white pants and i never mix. hope you're having a lovely time despite the few mishaps! :-)
ReplyDeleteYour outfit is super cute!!! Love it! :)
ReplyDeleteI wasn't sure if I should laugh. Or cry at this post. Because I feel for you. And love your umbrella. And stories. You are awesome sweet beauty :) xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteOhh! So unfortunate. I'm definitely frowny facing over here.
ReplyDeleteI hope your kidney is feeling better!!!
Love, Leigh
Ok. That white blazer? Seriously? It's amazing.
