I am back,
ready to fill you with my warm embrace.
You are safe now,
in my arms.
Did you just LOVE the little gems I had for you last week?
Or are you slightly traumatized?
I think either reaction is good, personally.
I don't know if you guys know this..
but Friday there was this little event called The Royal Wedding.
Haven't heard of it?
Its where The Prince of England
GRANDSON to the queen,
i am ashamed of my mistake (said son previously).
im such an american.
thanks bloggers for auto-correcting me.

gets married to a girl he fell in love with.
THEN she gets to be a princess.
And when the Queen dies in like 50 more years
(because apparently this line lives a long time)
The Prince and Princess become King and Queen.
I swear I did not make this ish up.
I didn't steal it from a Disney movie either.
It's a pretty casual event
with like 3000 people actually invited
and over a million attending via tent.
I am not one in a million.
I attended via Sophie's living room.

| Vogue came to the wedding too. duh. |
Now I can say I lived in England during the Royal Wedding..
and during the university tuition being raised riots.
nice.

You never take a bad pic either :)
ReplyDeleteHope your doing well!
yayayay so glad you're back!! :)
ReplyDeletei want to be a princess too.
ReplyDeleteor i want to be pippa. i can't decide.
We were in vacation mode, so I didn't wake up early to watch the royal wedding. BUT, I was thinking of you when I woke up and saw highlights. I started to convince myself that's why you'd been blabsent - ya know, because you were performing vital English duties. Perhaps you were part of the choir or something? Whatever it was, in my mind, it was glamorous.
ReplyDeleteI did miss you, but I think you did a marvelous job setting up guest posters. I have enjoyed them! :-)
Yay, you're back!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all that info about the wedding, at first I didn't believe you, but then I googled it ;)
xo, Abby

ReplyDeleteyou should have camped out.
i'm slightly disappointed.
i mean, i almost ate a crumpet.
You two are gorgeous.. Glad to have you back, my dear!
ReplyDeleteim glad you are back, but i must say last week's gems were out of this world! :)
ReplyDeleteWelcome back my darling, how I've missed you! (c: Of course your guests were tres chic...but you...wil always be, hmmm, whatever is above tres chic. Loved all the royal wedding stuff, I mean, who doesn't like a real life fairy tale? And a fab dress...lovely. Happy Monday my dear!
ReplyDeleteYOU'RE BACK!!!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I was just thinking that they remained so dang composed during the wedding. I'd have busted out in my "i'm a princess" booty dance. #notmeanttoberoyal.
Yay! Glad you're back! And I'm so jealous you were in England for the wedding! I've been obsessed with the coverage of it!
ReplyDeleteOh, there was a wedding? Hm, hadn't heard. ;)
ReplyDeleteShe was lovely, and good heavens, so was Pippa.
Right... cause you take horrible pictures all the time, Megan.
ReplyDelete((note the sarcasm))
PS. thank goodness you're back. It was getting pretty ugly without you.
I am sooo happy you're back.
ReplyDeleteAnd I had been meaning to email or tweet you all week to ask if you took a bloggy break because you had a wedding to attend. Because ya know obviously my one friend in England would be on the invite list! I mean duh...

ReplyDeletei feel your embrace. and i feel safe now. and how FREAKING cool is it that you can say you were IN London at the time! YOU! YOU!!!!
ReplyDeleteI felt cool watching the wedding live, but even cooler that you were actually in London!
ReplyDeletenot to be a buzz kill, but it wasn't actually the queen's son getting married, it was her grandson. so even when she dies, they still don't get to be king and queen.
ReplyDeletehave you gone crazayyyyyyyyyyyyy?? i look like a mess! oh welll...i like being featured on here so i forgive you haha.
ReplyDeletei miss the royal wedding. i literally had post royal wedding depression! haha. but megdog...William is the grandson of the Queen, not the son. thats Charles job. fix up on your britishness please haha x
ive missed your writing love. i thought about you while i watched the royals, so jealous you got to be there!
ReplyDelete@adrienne actually rumor has it the throne will be given to william and not charles when the queen dies. BUT you are right. its grandson. #imamerican
ReplyDeletetuition riots and a royal wedding. pretty similar. probz both caused by your arrival in the UK.
ReplyDeletemissed yaaa
The necklace is perfect...but where were your royal hats?! I mean, I really expected some hat craziness...you ladies are in England, after all. ;)
ReplyDeleteYOU'RE BACK in action. Yay.
ReplyDeleteYour necklace is so so so cute. I want one! The wedding was beautiful (:
Anyone else confused by the cate/kate thing?
ReplyDeleteAlso, you have funny blog friends. Thanks for the guest posts!
Lastly, I'm lovin' that sweater+super cute necklace combo.
As in, the McDonalds 'I'm lovin' it.'
:)
Yayy! So happy you are back. I really enjoyed your guest bloggers, too, and I now have a handful of new blogs to follow :) Thank you!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I think that is very cool that you can say you lived in England during the Royal Wedding. I like to brag about living in Chicago the night President Obama was elected and there was the huge rally in Grant Park. It never gets old. At least for me.
welcome back gorgeous! And when was the last time you took a bad picture? Love that neckless, too
ReplyDeleteLoved the guests while you were gone, but there's nothing quite like getting a Megan-fix. Glad you're back. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's about damn time you're back, my blogging experience felt empty without you!
ReplyDeleteErin
I'm so glad that you are back, Meggy boo boo!! I thought that you were one of Kate's bridesmaids. I was shocked when you weren't on the tv. ; )
ReplyDeleteoh meg, you've been missed dearly!! and btw, neither you OR sophie take a bad picture. you're both gorg...glad you're back in action :)
ReplyDeleteYay for your return.
ReplyDeleteYou know you're special when you can say you were there for both the Royal wedding and riots. Special indeed.
Hooray. Blog world was not the same without you. Loving the necklace...might have to get myself one so we can be twinsies. Ha.
ReplyDeleteOkay, fabulous. Beautiful.
ReplyDelete:) :)
So glad I had my own little part in a Brittish wedding party.
. . . cross that one of the list.
For real though, glad you love it & so glad to have you back.
<3 leigh
Gah. You two are so cute it makes me SICK. Sick I tell ya.
ReplyDeleteBut you're back now. So I forgive you.
Great post! I adore your sweater!
ReplyDeletexx
You mean you didn't go stand for hours in a crowd waiting to get a glimpse of the royals and their fascinating fascinators?!
ReplyDeleteSo cool that you were there during the whole thing though, that is a once in a lifetime!
pippa looked smokin'. i want her dress.
ReplyDeletealso, when you say traumatized, do you mean my post specifically?
WELCOME BACK!!! YAY!!

I bet all the Royal wedding craziness was fun to be a part of!
Shared your blog on my FB page yesterday! So thankful to you for modeling the earrings so beautifully! :D
Oh love it. Have to say that the Royal Wedding was very hoo-hah-ish {no that's not a word, I just made it one}. And though it was BEAUTIFUL I am not a true lover and didn't camp outside. I guess we can make a club!
ReplyDeletefun facts (although i can't verify the truth in them):
ReplyDelete1. the royal wedding cost roughly 34 million dollars
2. the people of england aka tax payers paid for it. suckas.
I love that necklace! Its so unique!
ReplyDeletebeautiful blog, now following!
