(Blog title said with British Accent)
Homesickness for me comes in waves..
roughly around one time a month..
and I am not going to say that it aligns with that womanly time..
but i'm not going to say it doesn't....
Whenever I seem to be feeling that ping in my chest
and pit in my stomach
I receive a special sort of love from some part of the world..
This past weekend it came from Australia, England, and the US.
On a whim, my friend Ella came by my house with a bag full of candy..
just for me..
I don't even have to share it.
Following that I had a #blate with the gorgeous Sophie.
My little Aussie blog pop.
(seriously, if you don't follow her...well..I just don't know about our friendship then..)
Then today I received a care package from the hilarious and AMAZING Emily.
She is a true gem, a quick witted smart gem of a doctor blogger friend.
You need to get on her blog. like yesterday.
| Soph's homemade quac. tasted like home (and by home i mean the states where we have real mexican food) |
| thank you |
I don't know what I would do without my friends..
blog ones
and real life ones
and blog ones turned real life ones.
You make my baby leap
(I don't have a baby in me..but I heard that saying in church once)
seemed fitting.

you are loved. by many. and I can see why. :) I shot you a quick email... really hoping that i got the right address. let me know if you didn't get it!!!
ReplyDeletehahaha. you make my baby leap. that's awesome.
ReplyDeletei'm glad emily sent you a package.
and i'm glad you're coming back to socal in a MONTH! hurray.
also- if that is cheer up charlie from willy wonka and the chocolate factory, the original- we were just meant to be.
So sweet! Gotta love blog friends... uniting people who may have never connected before. Hope you're feeling better!! P.S. I'm in Portugal now and it's gonna be raining all week. grrr. So glad it didn't rain when you were here! Your trip looked wonderful...where in Portugal did you stay?
ReplyDeletep.s. I'm on your blog list???? Holy cow, I mean HOLY COW. compared to you... I'm like a pee-on. :) !!! Thank you!!!! But I love it! When I figure out how to make a list... you'll be on it. It will be about the time I figure out how to put my email on my blog too. and figure out how to add a playlist with music. I'm a blogger-idiot. Bridget helped my blog look half-way descent. way to go Bridge. BTW... the three of us would have some pretty awesome times together. I'd "get funnier" just hanging around you both.
ReplyDeleteGreat blogs... and your's is as well! I just got my magazines and can't wait to look through the May issues :) Enjoy them (currently blowing some Alabama sunshine and warmth your way)!
ReplyDeleteso sweet :) i also kind of hate you for getting that song stuck in my head. but only kind of.
ReplyDeleteOh you poor baby :(
ReplyDeleteI know the feeling of being homesick... But you'll be coming home soon!
One day, I'll send you a package too with Brazilian goodies so you can add a new country to your blog friends list! And make sure to visit us in SF when you're in California!!! :)
xoxo, Ana
So much LOVE. Makes me smile. :)
ReplyDeleteI have heard "baby leap" in church. Whaaaa???? Oh well.
ReplyDeleteI'm homesick too...and I only live 4 hours from home!
Maybe I'll mail you some ruby slippers and you can click your heels 3 times and be home whenever you want....I just have to find them first. ;)
i was starting to feel mildly inadequate about my package-sending capabilities. considering that i literally just put some magazines in a box, wrote a note, and sent it on its way. this baby has gotten a LOT of press and anticipation. i feared she wouldn't live up to expectations.
ReplyDeletemuch like the baby leaping within you. (or whatever)
anyway. i'm glad i brought a smile to that pretty pretty face of yours. your comment brought a smile to mine in the midst of this grossest of days.
annnnd one more thing.

I totally said this title with a British accent which made me start thinking of "Charlie Bit Me" youtube sensation. thank you!
ReplyDeleteHomesickness stinks :( I feel ya. I went through homesickness a bit during my freshman year of college but good friends, roommates, and family were there for me, which looks like what your fam/friends are doing for you! Cheer up ButtaCup!
